This is an oral history of the 1964 Keizer Flood. The 1964 flood in Keizer, Oregon, was part of a larger disaster known as the Christmas Flood of 1964, which affected much of the Pacific Northwest. Triggered by a combination of heavy rain, rapid snowmelt, and saturated soils, the flood caused rivers to overflow, including the Willamette River, which runs through the area.

Keizer experienced significant flooding as water inundated homes, farms, and businesses. The floodwaters disrupted transportation, destroyed infrastructure, and displaced residents. The community came together for relief and recovery efforts, but the event remains one of the most severe natural disasters in the region's history.
